The Witches Pyramid give the user the ability to build a powerful spell and then raise the energy needed to cast the spell. We’ve gone over the To Know part of the pyramid and we are ready to move onto the next side. We know what we want our spell to do, and we’ve researched the best way to do that spell, and what ingredients are best for our goal. So now we can move onto the next side of the Pyramid, To Will.

This side of the Witches Pyramid is all about what you want this spell to do and how badly do you want it to manifest. There is a witchy vocabulary word for this, and that word is intention. An intention is what you want to happen deep inside your mind and soul. Some witches will say they want one thing and really mean they want another thing. When your words match your true intention, your spell will be powerful and manifest.

This is the part of spell craft where the words are carefully chosen to align with your true intentions. When casting a spell, this is the part where I sit down and make a list of everything, I can think of that I want to happen after the spell is cast. For example, if I was casting a quick money spell to pay off a bill, I would write down the amount of the bill, why I want to pay off the bill, how much money I would like the Universe to send my way, when I need the money by, and what actions I am taking to help manifest the money. This is after I’ve researched what type of spell would be best to use and what ingredients (if any) are ideal for this spell. I would then write the text of my spell clearly setting my intentions to the Universe and myself. The more detailed you can be the better, but also leave a little room for what the Universe wishes for you.

Just like when you write affirmations, it’s a good idea to write spells in the positive sense and as if it is currently happening. Also, try to avoid slang and idioms when you write your spell at this point. You may know what 100 bucks means but say $100. You don’t want to wake up in the morning and find our that 100 male deer, ran across your lawn in the middle of the night. You got 100 bucks, but not the bucks you were hoping for.

Also, make your intentions clear. I once did a spell to get someone to move out of my home that I didn’t want to live there. I cast a spell for change. Well, I got change, but a lot more change than I bargained for. The person did end up moving out, but I also lost a parent and, also had to move out. It was not what I expected when I cast that spell. Now looking back, I can see it was something that had to happen (other than losing a parent) in order for me to grow as a person. But I would have preferred a slower transition.

What happens if your intention stated in a spell doesn’t match your true intention or what intentions the Universe has for you. There are several things that could happen.

1. You could get your stated intentions, but the effects of the spell will be fleeting and not long lasting. You may get that money to pay off the bill, but another equally large bill might come in soon after.

2. You will get your stated intentions, but it will not come in the form you thought it would. You may get the money to pay off the bill, but that money may come from an inheritance where you would rather have the person alive than the money.

3. The Universe will send you what It feels you need, and it may not help your situation.

4. The Universe will see what your true intention is and send you the lesson you need to understand what you really need.

The more in line your intentions are with your true intention, the less surprises the Universe will send you. Just a note on money spells, the Universe is not a cosmic ATM, if you always ask for money and make no changes in your life to change your finances for the better, the Universe will not send you money.

Just another note on the Universe, it is not a malevolent entity trying to punish you. The Universe looks as your true intentions and what you say in the spell and best decides what can be done to help you grow without causing harm. It will do it’s best to keep you from harming yourself.

Many witches believe that The Will, or Intention, is also linked to your determination for something to ‘ happen. How hard are you willing to work to bring your desire into fruition. Say you want a new job because you are fed up with your current job. Are you willing to put the effort into finding a better job? Have you taken the steps necessary to research jobs, apply for them, and go to interviews and show that your are capable of doing the work for the new job.

Another part of will is looking at your current situation and determining if you really want to take that chance or were you just having a bad week and are frustrated. Sometimes we act on our frustration and not on our true intention.

Mindset is a vital part of To Will. If you are not committed to what you want, no amount of spell work is going to make it happen. You cannot “fake it until you make it” with the Universe. Your lack of determination will be noted and the results you get will reflect that lack of Will. Spells are not for whims; spells should be cast for committed to goals.
