New Moon is the phase of the moon when the crescent just becomes visible after the dark moon (with the horns facing left). You can work with the New Moon energy for 3 days after the moon is new.

This is the phase of the moon for setting intentions. It is a time of reset. A new start. It is a time to take pause and set clear, heartfelt intentions. It is a great time for a new beginning and the perfect time to initiate a new venture or project.

This is a great time for an oracle reading of any kind to see what is coming up. Especially within this new cycle of the moon.

Create a Sacred Space under the New Moon. This could be a full ritual circle or just lighting a candle. Collecting magickal supplies such as herbs, flowers, crystals. Practice the things that make your joy. Or better yet start a new craft or hobby.

The New Moon is a great time to clean your altar.
