Dis-ease vs. Disease

Learn the difference between dis-ease and disease. Also, like how one can lead to the other.

My theory, and the theory of many others in Chiropractic and alternative or Eastern Medicine, is that much of disease that we get is starts first as dis-ease in one of our four bodies. Let me start off with some definitions.

Disease is a medical term and is the harmful deviation from the biological norm.

When I talk about our four bodies I have not been drinking heavily, I am talking about the four bodies that make up our complete Auric (as in Aura) bodies. It is made up of our Physical Body. This is the body that is most often diagnosed to disease. Our Mental Body. More and more science is catching up and recognizing and diagnosing disease in this body. Our Emotional Body. And our Spiritual Body.

Simply put the theory is that when we have a dis-ease in the Spiritual Body and do not pay attention to it or alleviate the cause of that dis-ease it progresses then to the Emotional Body. When we do not deal with it there it moves to the Mental Body. Where it can express itself as mental illness such as depression, anxiety, or many others. When not delt with there it will move on to the Physical Body creating pain and illness in the body.

The medical community will readily admit that in today’s world the leading cause of many health issues is stress. Stress are the traumas big or small that have not been dealt with on some level. You may feel like you have dealt with it at the time. But you may have not taken the time and completely worked through all of your feelings, thoughts, etc. This is when those traumas and stress continue to cause dis-ease which eventually when not dealt with completely turn into disease.

You may be asking what about the viruses and bacteria that cause some diseases. The truth is most of the microbes that cause disease are on and around us all the time. They are mostly harmless when our bodies are working at their optimal. Which is when it is free of dis-ease.

Therefore, instead of fighting the symptoms' of disease. To regain real health we need to come back to a state of ease, harmony, and balance to regain proper function of the body.

Here are some simple ways we can begin to create more ease back into our bodies:

  • Make sure you are feeding your body the proper nutrition and enough hydration. You also need to feed your mind, heart, and soul the proper “nutrition” they need as well. What are ways you can feed your mind, heart, and soul?

  • Move your bodies. When we exercise we release hormones that help reduce anxiety and stress. How can you introduce more movement into your life that does not feel like a chore that introduces more stress?

  • Get the proper sleep you and your body needs. For optimal health of body & mind most people need a minimum of 7-8 hours of sleep.

  • Keeping a positive outlook. Affirmations. Daily meditation. Meditation can also be a great way to begin working through some of the trauma you have not fully dealt with.

I also want to say that I in no way believe that you should only treat your dis-ease without seeking modern medical attention for any disease you may have. That is not safe and it is silly. Instead I purport to also seek what underlying mental, emotional, or spiritual dis-ease or trauma that may have contributed or led to the disease and alleviate that can only help and add to the overall healing process.
