Creative Vision Boards & More

Most everyone has heard of Vision Boards and has the general concept of what they are, and that purpose is for manifesting what you want to bring into your life. I would like give you some ideas on how to make your Vision Boards even more magickal.

I would recommend beginning the process of creating your Vision Board with a meditation and contemplation. If there were no obstacles, where could you see yourself in the next year (or for whatever cycle you are doing your vision board for). Perhaps do a Tarot or Oracle reading.

Stay focused while creating it. Focus your energy and intention into the creation and energization of it.

Magickal Inks

Consider using magickal inks in creating your vision board to add some extra umpf, depending on your intention. (Note: while the names of many of the inks have names including the word blood, there is no actual blood included in them. They are made with plants and resins.)

· Dove’s Blood Ink: Use for friendship, love, desire, and reconciliation.

1 part Dragon’s blood resin

1 part Gum Arabic

2 drops Cinnamon Oil

2 drops Rose Oil

2 drops Bay Oil

12 parts Alcohol

Grind resins and steep in alcohol until dissolved. Add ois and ground Gum Arabic.

Filter and bottle.

· Dragon’s Blood Ink: Use for protection, power, courage, and luck

1 part Dragon’s blood resin

1 part Gum Arabic

15 parts alcohol

Grind resin and steep in alcohol until dissolved. Add Gum Arabic. Filter and bottle.

· Butterfly’s Blood Ink: A rare in used for the most sacred of writings

½ part Saffron

13 parts Alcohol

3 parts Gum Arabic

¼ part Dragon’s Blood Ink

Grind Saffron and steep in alcohol until dissolved. Add Gum Arabic and Dragon’s Blood Ink,. Filter and bottle.

· Bat’s Blood Ink: Use for protection, binding, and removing curses

2 parts Dragon’s blood resin

½ part Myrrh resin

2 drops Cinnamon oil

2 drops Indigo color

½ part Gum Arabic

12 parts Alcohol

Grind resins and steep in alcohol until dissolved. Add oils and ground Gum Aribic. Filter and bottle.

Spells

Maybe you would like to add a handwritten spell to your Vision Board. You can use that spell to keep directing energy towards your goals. I would recommend putting behind an image or photo. You don’t want others poo pooing on your magick. You can also hide your spell in Zentangles (basically turning words into art).

Runes

Using runes to add energy and symbolize what you want to manifest into your life is another powerful way to add extra magick into your vision board. (See our blog post on Runes)

Sigils

Sigils are a great way to integrate magic into your vision board. Especially in a way that no observer will easily be able to interpret. They are also incredibly personal which add even more power to them.

Affirmations

The idea with a vision board is that you will be looking at it every day. Adding affirmations and reading them and feeling them every time, you look at your vision board can be very empowering. You can cut them out of magazines or write them yourself.

Patron Deity

If you have a patron God or Goddess that you work with, consider including pictures of them. Or objects or symbols that represent them.

Use Specific Colors

Use specific colors to invoke certain energies and help with the manifestation. Here are some examples for reference:

· Red: Love, passion, courage, motivation, extra energy.

· Orange: Strength, success, attraction, encouragement

· Yellow: Communication, creativity, to dispel negativity.

· Green: Prosperity, money, healing, fertility, growth

· Blue: Meditation, tranquility, peace, healing

· Indigo: Balance, clear communication

· Purple: Wisdom, spirituality, psychic abilities, intuition

· White: Clarity, purification, protection

· Lavender: Intuition, dreams

· Pink: Happiness, self-love, love manifestation

· Brown: Earth, grounding, balance

· Gold: Attraction, fortune, justice, God, sun

· Silver: Channeling, psychic abilities, clairvoyance, Goddess, Moon

Setting Goals

Are you struggling to come up with ideas to manifest? Here are some ideas for the different areas of your life.

Personal Development

· Read (X) number of books this year.

· Take up a new hobby.

· Practice daily journalling.

· Attend personal development seminars or workshops

· Work on boosting your confidence.

Health and Fittness

· Achieve a target weight or body composition.

· Eat more plant-based meals.

· Learn to cook healthier meals at home.

· Take up yoga or Pilates.

· .Get regular check-ups and screenings.

· Reduce stress through relaxation techniques.

· Quit smoking or reduce alcohol consumption.

CAREER & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GOALS

· Get a promotion or advance to the next career level.

· Start a side business or freelancing gig.

· Improve your leadership skills.

· Develop a personal brand.

· Achieve a specific income goal.

FINANCIAL GOALS

· Create a budget and stick to it.

· Pay off a specific debt (e.g., student loans, credit card).

· Build an emergency fund.

· Strengthen your relationship with a partner or spouse.

· Take a road trip to explore your own region.

· Complete a creative project (e.g., write a book, paint a picture).
